Collaboration means…
…new business opportunities.
…thinking outside of the traditional Prime Contractor-Subcontractor relationship.
…pursuing partnerships based upon complementary capabilities.
…executing stronger proposal efforts based upon system solutions from a team of well-matched players. Collaboration begins when you change the way you look for new business opportunities. Search based upon
Technology Focus Areas that match your firm’s capabilities. Uncover potential partners whose technologies or capabilities complement your own. Examine the potential for a stronger proposal based upon a joint approach. Two companies collaborating often develop better solutions than one on its own. The Collaboration Exchange is overseen by the Huntsville Advanced Defense Technology (ADT) Cluster; a contract awarded by the Small Business Administration (SBA) to the Von Braun Center for Science and Innovation (VCSI). The Huntsville ADT Cluster assists small businesses with:
* Identifying and understanding DOD customer requirements
* Providing intelligence on opportunities or procurements from the government that could benefit from your technology
* Facilitating teaming with prime contractors
* Assisting with contract vehicles to sell the solution to a federal customer
* Developing a community of technology companies that can work together to provide system solutions to the federal customer
Technology Focus Areas
The Collaboration Exchange empowers users to sort SBIR/STTR and other solicitations by Technology Focus Area. These areas are identified by the SBA as opportunities for small businesses to provide targeted business support and technology integration services to meet defense priorities.
