Have you received a text message claiming to be from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), TxTag, or another government agency demanding immediate payment for an unpaid traffic violation, toll charge, or vehicle registration issue?
β οΈ BEWARE β IT MAY BE A SCAM.
Scammers are sending text messages that threaten driver's license suspension, vehicle registration cancellation, collections, legal action, and credit reporting if payment is not made immediately through a link provided in the message.

β’ Demands for immediate payment
β’ Suspicious website links
β’ Messages claiming this is your "final notice"
β’ Requests for personal or financial information

What You Should Do:
β’ Do NOT click on any links in suspicious text messages.
β’ Do NOT provide personal, banking, or credit card information.
β’ Verify any claims directly through official Texas government websites or by contacting the agency using a trusted phone number.
β’ Delete and report suspicious messages.
