A-P-T Research, Inc. (Analysis, Planning, Test Research, or "APT") is an employee-owned, small business based in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, Alabama. APT provides professional engineering services in a variety of disciplines including systems engineering, risk assessment and analysis, test planning, range safety, system safety, software system safety, explosives safety, industrial and quality engineering, quality assurance, mission assurance, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), software development and modeling, and related areas. APT currently supports more than 50 customers of which approximately 40 are government agencies. Our personnel are owners and each shares in the commitment to APT's corporate mission of continually providing state-of-the-art expertise and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Another successful Super Large Scale Gap Test (SLSGT) is in the books.

APT Research, in collaboration with N2L, recently completed testing to support Interim Hazard Classification for rocket motors.

The SLSGT helps determine whether solid propellant detonates (Hazard Division 1.1) or deflagrates (Hazard 1.3), providing critical data to support the safe storage, transportation, and fielding of rocket motors.

As the defense industrial base accelerates mu*****ns production, understanding energetic material behavior remains essential to managing risk and supporting mission readiness.

APT Research employee-owner Jay Staub recently volunteered at the Para Cycling World Road Racing Championship, where athletes from 41 different countries raced through Cummings Research Park.

Jay split time between checking credentials at the Athlete's Village and marshaling the course near the Leidos complex, helping keep riders and traffic moving safely through race week.

One moment stuck with him: a Team Ireland crew soaking their teammates with water mid-turn.

Jay's takeaway, people who concentrate on what they can do, not what they can't, accomplish extraordinary things.
