Staying connected to the conversations shaping our community and our Nation matters.

Yesterday, APT Research was pleased to attend the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber’s Washington Update featuring Congressman Dale Strong. The discussion provided valuable perspective on the priorities in Washington that directly impact North Alabama’s defense, space, and small business communities.

As a Huntsville-based, 100% employee-owned company supporting critical missions across defense and space, APT understands how decisions made in Washington ultimately affect our customers, our industrial base, and, most importantly our people.

Thank you to Congressman Strong and the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber for continuing to bring government and industry together for these important conversations.

APT Research hosted its IMESAFR v2.3 + AN Module training class earlier this month, August 18–21, bringing together safety professionals from Southwest Energy, Thornton Tomasetti, Halliburton, and Quick Supply.

APT employee-owners John Tatom, Lindy Taylor, Jake Romano and Michael Civil led the course, walking students through explosives safety risk assessment methodology and IMESAFR's advanced tools, from debris options and frangible wall modeling to parametric analysis.

Courses like this one are where the IMESAFR user community grows, bringing new industries and new perspectives into explosives safety risk-informed decision-making.

APT Research recently supported a major integration milestone for the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope at NASA's Kennedy Space Center

KSC teams have integrated the telescope with the SpaceX Falcon Heavy Fairing at the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility (PHSF), bringing the mission a step closer to launch. Seeing this mission completed will be a proud and rewarding moment for everyone who has supported it.

APT Safety Engineers JR Urrutia and Joe LeBlanc worked alongside several NASA customers during processing operations at the PHSF.

APT Research was proud to serve as a Silver Sponsor of the The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, 8th Annual Space Coast Symposium & Expo, where leaders across government and industry came together around the future of America’s space enterprise.

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Administrator Jared Isaacman delivered a clear message: what comes next will require more launches, more spacecraft, more testing, more infrastructure, and strong industry partnerships to make it possible.

That message has special meaning for APT. While on the Space Coast, our Chief Growth Officer Meredith Dupree Payne met with leaders at Kennedy Space Center, spent time with members of our SMASS team, and toured KSC with APT Program Manager Allen Neal Aj.

Stops at the Apollo 1 and Space Shuttle Columbia memorials were powerful reminders of the lives and sacrifices behind America’s space program and the responsibility carried forward with every mission. As NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration looks toward Artemis and the next era of exploration, honoring that legacy remains an important part of moving forward.

A special thank you to AJ Neal, Kimberly Harkins Widmer, and Charles Wilson for representing APT at the Space Coast Symposium & Expo and showcasing the team behind our work at Kennedy Space Center.

We are proud of our SMASS team, proud to support NASA at KSC, and excited about the missions still to come.
