Happy Friday!! 😃 WELCOME BACK TO FUNNY SIGNS FRIDAY!! 😂
Creator | C. Knighten | Sozo Digital Media, LLC
Source | Star Trek Humour

It has been interesting to learn what draws an audience in Huntsville, AL and across North AL, for the past few years. Other than dogs.......it always comes back to two other things....music and humor!

This week's awesome punny from Star Trek Humour, just makes me happy ....cause I reallly like Neil Diamond. He writes the kinds of songs that the world relates to.....kind of like John Denver. I mean, how often do you hear some arena sing Sweet Caroline....and during the World Cup Series, crowds repeatedly sang Take Me Home Country Roads. It was soo awesome!!

It was one of those world moments......when everyone watching no matter where you were....including half a world away.....you all felt connected....even if but for a few minutes. I love this play on words.....it is quite inventive!

We hope you have a great Friday, a wonderful weekend and.....think how seeing that, hearing it and participating (cause we know you did!😁)made you feel......hold onto that!! 😃

Happy Wednesday!! 😀 IT'S NATIONAL DOG 🐶 DAY!!🐕
Creator | C. Knighten

Each year on August 26th we celebrate National Dog Day to commemorate our very best furry companions! We set this day aside each yeare to encourage shelter adoptions, promote responsible pet ownership.....because of the unconditional love dogs bring into our lives.

GREAT PLACES TO ADOPT IN HUNTSVILLE:
🔺Huntsville Animal Shelter: 4950 SW Triana Blvd, Huntsville, AL 35805
🔺Lifeline Pet Rescue of North Alabama: 121 Kohler Road SE, Huntsville, AL 35803
🔺Greater Huntsville Humane Society: 2812 Johnson Road B, Huntsville, AL 35805
🔺Ark, Inc. Shelter: 139 Bo Cole Road NW, Huntsville, AL 35806

GREAT WAYS TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL DOG DAY!
🐕‍🦺LET'S GO FOR A WALK!
The hardest part about this....picking a cooler time of day!! Please keep in mind how hot both the pavement and sidewalks are in this kind of heat. Unless you have booties to help protect their pads....wait until it has cooled off!!
🐩PAMPER THEM!
Take your fur baby for a Pup Cup! They serve then at Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, or Bark HSV!
🐕QUALITY TIME!!
You are the Alpha...and that means your pup needs some one-on-one time with you. Throwing the ball in the back yard....wrestling in the living room (depends on the size of your pup) or just kicking back and relaxing on the couch for some belly rubs.

No matter how you share your love for them....they are your furry best friend for life!! Have a great day and share photos of your Fur Baby!! 🐶

Happy Monday!! 😀 IT'S NATIONAL COMPOSITES WEEK!!⚠️
Creator | C. Knighten

Each year in August we recognize the innovative materials that shape our modern world🌍....especially those that impact so many industries! From aerospace🚀 to our very infrastructure🏢, composites are essential for creating stronger, lighter, and more sustainable products. While there are many different applications for composites......today we will explore the different composites used in the sign industry!

COMMON SIGN MAKING COMPOSITIES:
🛑ALUMINUM COMPOSITE MATERIAL(ACM):
Known by brand names like Dibond, it features two thin aluminum sheets bonded to a solid polyethylene core. It is flat, rigid, lightweight, and weather-resistant for outdoor business signs
⚠️ALUMALITE: A panel with an aluminum face on one or both sides and a corrugated plastic (polypropylene) center. It is extra lightweight, strong, and ideal for large, double-sided outdoor displays.
🛑MEDIUM DENSITY OVERLAY(MDO):
An exterior-grade plywood core with a smooth, resin-impregnated fiber paper overlay. It resists weather and warping, making it a classic choice for painted real estate or site construction signs.
🚸FOAM BOARD AND FOAMCORE:
A lightweight inner layer of polystyrene foam sandwiched between paper or plastic faces. It is cheap and rigid, but strictly used for short-term indoor signs and trade shows
🛑HIGH-DENSITY URETHANE (HDU):
A rigid, closed-cell polyurethane foam block composite. Sign makers carve or sandblast it to create deep 3D dimensional signs that mimic traditional carved wood without rotting.

As time passes, new composities will be developed as need arises....that is typically the way this works.

Have a great day and reach out if you need some great composite signs....we excel at that! 😀

Happy Friday!! 😃 WELCOME BACK TO FUNNY SIGNS FRIDAY!! 😂
Creator | C. Knighten | Sozo Digital Media, LLC
Source | Vince The Sign Guy

We truly love bringing these awesome punny signs from Vince The Sign Guy! They are interesting and always have an anecdote buried in the word play!

Ahhh, the phrase 'slippery slope' is exactly that....a hill covered in mud, snow or ice that presents a risky path to follow. However, the phrase "path of least resistance' is actually has deep roots in physics and hydrodynamices, originating in the 18th and 19th centuries. 🤔

It describes how natural forces like water, air, and electricity, move through the easiest route with the least amount of opposition!🤯

SCIENTIFIC ROOTS:
🌪️Natural forces choose the easiest route.
💦Water flows around rocks instead of through them.
⚡️Electricity travels where resistance is lowest.
👨‍🔬The phrase evolved from early fluid mechanics.

Truth be told.... during the 19th century it was thinkers, like Thomas Carlyle, who used it to talk about how humans often pick the easiest option to avoid hard work. And even later, in the 20th century we adopted it as an idiom meaning 'simple solution'!

No matter how you look at it.....it makes great sense and it should be noted that if you are not careful on slippery slopes, you will truly experience the 'path of least resistance!"😅😂🤣

We wish you a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!!😀

Happy Wednesday! 😀 IT'S INTERNATIONAL BOWTIE DAY!!🎀
Creator | C. Knighten

Celebrated each year on August 19th, this day honors the versatile and enduring accessory that has shaped fashion for centuries.

Were you aware that only 10% of men regularly rock a bow tie🧐? With the other 90% sticking to standard neckties.

WHAT THE DATA SAYS:
🩺THE 'NO DANGLE" PROFESSIONALS:
Statistically, you are more likely to spot a bow tie on pediatricians, architects, and scientists. Why? Because a long, dangling tie is a workplace hazard around grabby babies, blueprint ink, and laboratory chemicals!
🧪THE GERM BUSTING BONUS:
Doctors who wear bow ties actually carry fewer germs from patient to patient simply because their neckwear never accidentally drags across a hospital bed.
🏥THE AGE SPLIT:
Regular wearers fall into two distinct camps....older traditionalists keeping a classic era alive, and younger individualists enjoy sportingtheir vintage style!
👔THE VIP PASS:
While long ties rule the boardroom, the bow tie completely owns the highest levels of formal fashion. You cannot legally enter a White Tie or true Black Tie event without one. 😎

We wish you a great day!🙂

Happy Monday!! 😀 IT'S NATIONAL WELLNESS MONTH!🫗
Creator | C. Knighten

During the entire month of August, we want to focus on self-care, reducing stress and creating healthier habits during National Wellness Month!

The key to remember: While we are busy building our careers, raising a family, furthering our education, participating in our communities and creating new products and ideas....we must also remember to take care of our own health and nurture our bodies!

It is way, too easy....to put our own health on a back burner and forget the importance of taking care of ourselves. Not only is your health important, but your happiness is also an important factor to keep in mind! Research has shown self-care can help increase happiness by up to 71% when we manage our stress and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

FIVE LITTLE STEPS TO START:
🫗INCREASE YOUR WATER INTAKE.
🥕ADD MORE VEGGIES AND FRUITS🫐 TO YOUR DIET!
🛌MONITOR YOUR SLEEP AND MAKE ADJUSTMENTS AS NEEDED.
🧘‍♀️GET MOVING, STRETCHING.....JOIN A YOGA OR AEROBICS CLASS.
🍃LEARN TO MEDITATE

This month make a point to 'choose wellness'....for yourself!! Take one 'baby-step' for you.....walk 10,000 steps.....drink 64 oz. of water daily. You might consider visiting some of the free places Huntsville offers for exercise, including outdoor fitness courts like John Hunt Park, or the Orion Amphitheatre for their Free Fitness Tuesdays. Also consider our public greenways, nature preserves, and seasonal community fitness events.

Have a great day and get moving!!😀

Happy Friday!! 😃 WELCOME BACK TO FUNNY SIGNS FRIDAY!! 😂
Creator | C. Knighten | Sozo Digital Media, LLC
Source | Vince The Sign Guy

It's finally Friday and we are bringing you another great punny from Vince The Sign Guy, to help your day fly by......literallly!!🤔

Let's be honest....how could I resist a sign that mentions a 'baby Astronaut"🧑‍🚀....well, here we are....so yes, I couldn't!! And then there was the added bonus of the 'rocket"!! 🚀

So, to date....there has never been a baby astronaut, nor a baby in space.....however, the following people qualify for being the youngest people in space.
🔺THE YOUNGEST PERSON IN SPACE:
Oliver Daeman, flew on Blue Origin's NS-16 suborbital flight on July 20, 2021, at the age of 18 years and 334 days old.....just short of his 19th birthday!!
🔺THE YOUNGEST PROFESSIONAL ASTRONAUT:
Gherman Titov, flew on the Soviet Union's Vostok 2 mission on August 6, 1961, completing 17 orbits around the Earth, at the young age of 25!

Well, we won't be rocking a baby astronaut anytime soon.....I don't believe, but someday people will live in and thrive in space!

We wish you a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!!😀

WOw.....that is quite the achievement!!!

WOw.....that is quite the achievement!!!

In 1998, American supercentenarian Sarah Knauss posed for an extraordinary six-generation family portrait at age 118 alongside her 95-year-old daughter, Kathryn Sullivan. Born on September 24, 1880, in Hollywood, Pennsylvania, Knauss is verified as the oldest American person in recorded history and the third-oldest validated person ever behind Jeanne Calment and Kane Tanaka.

The rare photograph captures six living generations of a single family, spanning ages 118 down to 3-year-old great-great-great-grandson Bradley. Knauss passed away peacefully in December 1999 at age 119 years, 97 days, having lived through seven major U.S. wars and 21 U.S. presidential administrations.
