Imagine looking out your living room window and seeing this stroll by. Talk about a house with a great view! 🏑🦬

Spring in Grand Teton National Park brings a very specific kind of magic, and it comes in a bright orange coat. Affectionately known as "red dogs," bison calves are born with this distinct reddish-brown fur, making them stand out vividly against the fresh green valleys. It doesn't last long, within a few months, their coats will darken to match the rest of the herd. But don't let the small size and clumsy steps fool you, mama is never more than a heartbeat away, fiercely protective and guiding the way.

If you lived in that house, would you ever actually leave the living room? πŸ‘‡

Be honest... are you tired of the horse pictures yet? πŸ˜‚

These long, busy days have had me running on fumes, and truth be told, these equine images are the only ones I’ve even had time to sit down and look at!
For the last 10 days, I've photographed these incredible horses at Triangle X Ranch twice a day. Up until now, I’ve been almost exclusively using a long telephoto lens to get tight portraits. But today, I decided to switch it up completely. I went with a wider focal length to make sure I included that iconic, moody Teton mountain backdrop. To really emphasize their strength, I got low to the ground, giving them that "larger than life" commanding presence as they stampeded by.

Standing by the wooden fences at Triangle X Ranch at sunrise, you can actually feel the ground shake before you even see the herd. Watching these horses charge down the hillside, kicking up dust into that crisp, golden morning light, is an incredible way to start the day. The raw power of the drive, the sunrays cutting through the haze, and that one eager horse leading the pack out frontβ€”it all comes together as pure Western poetry. 🐴✨

I absolutely love the American bison because seeing them just screams "American West" to me. When you look into their eyes, you can almost feel the deep, untamed history of this incredible landscape. It's moments like these that remind me exactly why I love to photograph North America's most iconic mammals.

Watching the first light hit the Tetons never gets old. πŸ”οΈ We arrived at Snake River Overlook well before dawn to secure our spot and wait for the magic to happen. The crisp mountain air is always a shock to the system but completely worth it. 🌲 Have you ever witnessed a sunrise in Grand Teton National Park?

That feeling when you are at the absolute front of the pack. 🌾 We spent our first afternoon at Triangle X Ranch in Moose watching the herd head out to pasture. You can literally feel the ground shake as they get moving. This stunning palomino locked eyes with my lens and just stole the show.

I’m doubling down on the Tremont area today. Honestly, I love this part of the Smokies so much I couldn't pick just one shot to share. The way the water cuts through these mossy boulders is different every time you visit, and the soft, overcast light hitting the greens was too good not to share.
