PLEASE RESPECTFULLY GIVE YOURSELF TIME TO OFFLOAD BY OUR CLOSING TIME.
Gates close 10 minutes EARLY to ensure offload.
TUESDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-3:30 PM SATURDAY 8AM-12:30PM
REQUIREMENT: YOU MUST provide state issued ID and
Personal property assessment to verify proof of residence.
Normal Fees apply to tires, household trash, shingles, sheetrock, carpet, pool liners, tarps, concrete, and other disposal items that are not listed below.
Madison County Residents ONLY no businesses or rentals (must be your primary residence)
PER Madison County PRIMARY RESIDENCE not per person/property you own.
You will be allowed to bring in a single bulky load weighing up to 600lbs OR 6 bulky items any day we are open at the Huntsville location during normal hours Starting April 21, 2026 Through September 29,2026. Loads weighing over 600lbs will be charged normal rates.
You may bring in up to 5 electronic items, 10 Haz waste items or weigh with your bulky loads & 2 units that have contained freon normal business hours.
If the items weight is 50% metal, then it is considered a metal item please note we will NOT purchase metal items when combined with bulky loads this helps cover the cost involved in taking your items at no charge.
Keep Items separated as they will need to be off loaded in different areas. The way to load is shown on the flyer in sections. Metal items, Electronics, Haz waste, & Bulky Items. Thank you.
Solid waste is regulated by State and Federal laws. The following items cannot be accepted at any time.
*NO Dead animals *NO Yard debris– limbs, stumps, leaves etc.*NO Materials containing Asbestos or PCBs *No Medical Waste * No liquid waste * No explosive or radioactive waste

The South Madison County Convenience Center serves as a convenient disposal facility for residents. Nonetheless, it is crucial to recognize that this facility has limitations and cannot accommodate large-scale disposal needs, including trailer loads, lumber, shingles, sheet rock, or truck loads of HHW items. Additionally, loads requiring weighing or specialized equipment not available at the convenience center must be directed to the main Huntsville location. Team members at both facilities are authorized to refuse service to community members who exhibit disrespect and disregard for the State regulations that govern our operations.
