This is Veronica Cram's point on the trap that catches almost every growing business. The people, systems, and strategies that got you from A to B are not automatically the ones that get you to C. Owners hold onto what worked and wonder why it stops working.

Her analogy sticks. If you're flying home from Hawaii and heading to Alaska, you don't pack the same suitcase. The destination changed, so everything about your preparation has to change with it.

Your accountant can tell you what already happened. That's the easy part.

Veronica works the other direction: Can you afford this hire? When does that role break even? What activity has to happen this month to make the revenue real?

Her rule is simple. A business owner should never be surprised by their own numbers. A weekly scorecard is how you kill the surprises before they show up, and for service businesses, tracking utilization and activity tells you what's coming long before the cash flow does.

She also wants clients comfortable enough to just text her the question. That's the difference between a vendor and a partner.

A few months ago, Rocket City Space Fest was an idea on a whiteboard and a group of people who believed Huntsville's story deserved a bigger stage.

Monday night, on Apollo Day, we watched hundreds of drones light up the sky over Big Spring Park before a record-breaking crowd, moments tied to an official city proclamation honoring the anniversary of the Moon landing.

Flourish has been honored to support this effort, working behind the scenes alongside an extraordinary coalition of organizers, partners, and city leaders.

What this team accomplished in a matter of months is proof of something we believe deeply: when a community aligns around a shared vision, persistence and determination absolutely pay off.
