The Greater Huron Development Corporation is taking bids for mowing of lots in Southtown, Broadland Creek, and the West Industrial Park. Bids are for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Contact Ted Haeder at (605) 352-0363 or [email protected] to obtain a bid form and information about the sites.

Bids must be received by 4:00 P.M. on Friday, April 19, 2024.

Greater Huron hosted a groundbreaking on May 31, 2023 for the Peaceful Pines Senior Living project being built on the north side of Huron by HME Companies. This facility will consist of 20 independent living units, 21 assisted living units, and 20 memory care units. Construction is underway and expected to be complete in about a year.

This project would not be possible without partnerships from the City of Huron, HME Companies, American Bank & Trust, and others who come together to make Huron a great place to live, work, and play.

We look forward to hosting a ribbon cutting for Peaceful Pines around this time in 2024.

The small town of Tripp with a population of about 580 hadn’t had a new home built in decades until the local economic development corporation built one.
