Daily Destination Charging!

Here is a demonstration of a concept that could help solve some of the problems that we are facing in trying to upgrade the Power Grid to accommodate the increasing number of Electric Vehicles. Instead of plugging them in to charge when people get home from work, they need to be charged while the Sun is shining. Probably at work. Then, when they get home, the EV could help power their home, leaving just enough power in the battery to get them back to work the next day, where it would be recharged.
The attached pictures show my EV at home, after arriving at work, and being charged at work.

East County Communications Inc. and Hurricane Electronics Lab., Inc announced plans to start work on the development of an industrial standard for a “Universal Micro Grid” that will facilitate the interconnection of cabin sized solar electrical systems via a 600 volt DC buss. Development tasks include the connector itself, as well as the specifications that equipment must meet to connect to the Micro Grid.
