"I didn't know I was preserving a memory."

This is my village in the Philippines.

I climbed a mountain in 2017 to capture this view.

Years later, a devastating typhoon changed the landscape, destroyed rice fields, and took lives.

What was once just a photograph has become a memory of home as it used to be.

With only 1 day and 10 hours left in the semifinals of America's Favorite Photos, I'm honored to share this piece of my story.

They show up as exhaustion, silence, frustration, sleepless nights, and carrying weight no one knows about.

Life keeps testing you while the world expects you to keep smiling through it.

But there comes a point where faith is all you have left.

Faith to keep going.
