This GE capacitor was made in the USA 52 Years! This is way before they banned PCB's... old Lennox 3 ton.......and the original fan motor!!. And this is in Miami.. Still running when we did the change out..

Yesterday, EPA issued a final rule that formally lifts the January 1, 2026, prohibition on installing residential and light commercial R-410A AC and heat pump equipment. That change was the central recommendation of ACCA’s comments.

We are concerned, however, that changes commercial refrigeration deadlines will likely increase refrigerant prices and accelerate a transition to highly-flammable A3 refrigerants. The final rule was also a missed opportunity to provide relief from the January 1, 2027 installation deadline for VRF/VRV equipment.

Unfortunately, New York State regulations exclude New Yorkers from this relief and we're concerned other states will follow suit. We urge Congress to enact federal preemption to avoid a patchwork of state rules and New York contractors can fight back through ACCA’s ACTion Alert.

A customer sent me this article and I thought it was worth passing on. Your voice does cary weight with your representatives, but you have to calll them and speak up.
Making 410a and its replacement equipment is NOT going to affect the environment (especially not like a spy(i mean “data”) center would. The 410a equipment and freon WAS less expensive and much less dangerous.
