For many years, we have had the amazing privilege of living on Apple Lane, growing grapes and veggies and sharing them with our community. We thought we would stay here for decades to come, but the truth is the house and land never really belonged to us. A few weeks ago we had to give it back.
The grapevines and apple trees have all been moved and will join the wine vineyard we established north of town, the blackberries have been donated to Graber Elementary's school garden, and we hope the tulips and strawberries we left behind will bring surprise and delight to the next occupants.
Sure there have been moments of sadness as we say goodbye to Apple Lane, but we are overwhelmingly excited to finally find a home we can truly call our own. We can hardly wait to transform our next backyard!
As we approach Thanksgiving, we have much to be grateful for: incredible family and friends, a pantry still stocked with the summer's bounty, and a thrilling new world of possibilities ahead of us. We are all happy, healthy, and dreaming big this holiday season. We wish the same for you and yours!
