REPOST:

Some family caregivers did not just postpone vacations. They postponed careers, freedom, retirement, relationships, peace, and entire versions of themselves. Over time, caregiving can slowly reshape a person’s entire future around responsibility, survival, and the needs of someone else. What many people see as “being devoted” often entails invisible sacrifices that quietly accumulate over the years, until the caregiver barely recognizes the life they once imagined for themselves.

Buc-ees in Florence, SC ain’t come to play! I can only imagine what their food in Texas tastes like. Everything was fresh, filling and delicious.

My favorite: BUC-EES BANANA PUDDING 🤤🏆

Foods in this video:

Buc-ees three meat sandwich (sliced, smoked turkey, chopped brisket and smoked sausage).
Buc-ees banana pudding. (BEST store bought banana pudding I ever had).

MEN! This is for YOU.

05/22/2026

When you hear us talk about developing strategies for living a Godly life, here’s just one example of how to use the Word of GOD to develop a prayer strategy to overcome whatever it is you are bound by. Whatever it is that is keeping you from drawing closer to God and doing what HE has called you to do, pray, find a scripture, wait for God’s response and execute.

You’re welcome! 🫂❤️

Prayer Strategy for Anger

1. Pause Before You Pray

Before doing anything else, physically stop. Take 3 slow breaths. This isn’t avoidance — it’s creating space for God to enter the moment before you act or speak from the heat of the feeling.

2. Honest Acknowledgment Prayer

Come to God with full honesty. Don’t sanitize it.
“Lord, I am angry. I feel [hurt / betrayed / disrespected / overwhelmed]. I’m bringing this to You before I do something I’ll regret.”
God already knows. Naming it out loud (or in writing) is for you — it moves the anger from your body into a conversation with Him.

3. Ask the Right Questions in Prayer

Anger is almost always a secondary emotion — something deeper is underneath it. Ask God to reveal it:
• “What am I actually afraid of?”
• “Where do I feel unheard or unseen?”
• “Is there grief, shame, or injustice underneath this?”

Sit quietly for 2–3 minutes and listen.

4. Pray for the Person (If Applicable)

This is the hardest step — and the most transformative. You don’t have to feel it yet. Just begin:
“God, I don’t want to pray for [name] right now, but I’m willing to be willing. Bless them. Work in their life. Protect them.”
Even a reluctant prayer opens a door.

5. Surrender the Outcome

Anger often comes from trying to control what we can’t. Pray:
“I release this situation to You. I trust that You see what I see — and what I can’t see. Justice, healing, and resolution belong to You.”

6. Scripture Anchors to Pray Through

Hold these verses in prayer when anger rises:

Scripture
Focus

Psalm 4:4
Permission to feel, not to act wrongly — “Be angry and do not sin”
James 1:19–20
Slow to anger, slow to speak
Ephesians 4:26–27
Don’t let the sun go down on your anger
Proverbs 19:11
Wisdom in overlooking an offense
Romans 12:19
Letting God handle justice

7. Close with Realignment

End every anger prayer session with identity and peace:
“I am not defined by this anger. I am held by You. Reset my heart, renew my mind, and guide my next step. Amen.”

Daily Rhythm

For ongoing anger (not just a single incident), build this into a rhythm:
• Morning: Surrender the situation before the day starts
• Midday: Check in — is the anger growing or softening?
• Evening: Journal what God revealed; pray for one person involved

Anger itself isn’t sin — it’s often a signal that something matters deeply to you. This strategy helps you bring that signal to God rather than letting it drive your behavior.
