I spent Friday & Saturday with my family and my sista girl/mama bear. We laughed. We cried. We sang. We celebrated. Today (Sunday) I stayed home, reflecting on 51 years around the sun while recovering from a tummy bug. 😩 THANK YOU to everyone who called, texted, commented well wishes on my birthday posts and sent me cards, gifts and food. I appreciate every drop of your love.

Caregiver Chronicles:

These last few months have been a doozy between caregiving times two (I’m still taking care of my autistic brother) and working extra hours trying to stay afloat. This is what caregiving looks like. Being a caregiver means that you’re totally managing someone else’s life for them. Imagine running 3 people’s lives 24/7 while trying to have a life of your own, fulfill your dreams and please GOD at the same time.

I barely sleep thanks to perimenopause, so I literally conk out when my body decides to sleep. Most days, I’ve felt so sick that I was barely functioning. I’ve missed deadlines, events, invites, etc. My sincerest apologies. These hormone shifts are no joke. Grief is a gangster. My body is changing. So am I. Despite all of that, I’m still here. For THAT, I’m grateful.
