They go into big bulk boxes, then we package them as they’re sold—100 per bag for this style. Different beads come in different quantities, but the process is always oddly satisfying. 😌

**Episode 2 – Building the Plate**

Before the old press can print anything, there has to be something for it to print.

In this episode, I build a printing plate from scratch—one piece at a time, by hand. It’s a slow, old-school process of arranging the pieces, spacing everything out, locking it together, and hoping I didn’t put something where it doesn’t belong.

Then we take the finished plate over to our 1919 letterpress and see what nearly 107-year-old technology can still do.

No computers. No digital printer. Just a bunch of little pieces, some ink, an old machine, and a process that’s been around a very long time.

This is how we print our leather pieces at Ozark Campfire — one at a time, by hand, on our 1919 typeset letterpress.

No automation. No “print” button. Just ink, leather, an old machine, and a little elbow grease.

And yep… once you get into a rhythm, she’ll still move.
