After 6 years of the best of times, April and I will no longer be managing Old Town Winery. It is a memory we will always cherish and a place that holds so much magic. The wine, the fellowship, the campers, the reunions, the families, the wedding showers, the weddings, the music. Sunsets, twilight, lazy afternoons. Kids running through the vines. All so beautiful. We want to thank everyone that came and spent some time with us these last few years. We loved having every one of you, even when you didn’t want to go home just yet. There were more perfect nights than we could count. And you never saw us after the night was over. Sitting alone on the patio, wishing you were all still there. Maybe a stray wine glass or too. Thank you to our regulars, those folks who we knew we’d see on special nights that had their favorite table, their favorite wine, and their favorite pizza. Thank you to all the musicians that stared straight into that sun and played music for everyone until the stars came out. You were wonderful.
To Lenee, amazing Lenee, who was there to hold our hands when we needed it and trusted us with her and Doc’s wonderful legacy. And taught us that it was always about the people no matter who was minding the store. That things on the hill were special, and we learned that lesson over and over again. We love you.
There will be a wine sale coming soon so watch for those details. We have a few private events in May and that will be the end of this chapter. But the memories live on and we are eternally grateful for that.
