In honor of Father's Day, we want to recognize our Founding Father, Joseph Thiebes.

More than a century ago, Joseph and the Thiebes family built Pacific Hide & Fur on a foundation of hard work, integrity, and a commitment to serving their communities. Through changing markets and evolving industries, they remained adaptable, forward thinking, and dedicated to creating opportunities for future generations.

Today, Employee Owners across Pacific continue to build on that foundation. We carry forward the values that started it all: fair dealing, honest pricing, strong relationships, and a commitment to doing what's right.

As we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who have shaped our lives, we also take a moment to honor the man whose vision helped shape Pacific.

Many people know us for steel. Many people know us for recycling. What makes Pacific unique is that we do both.

Every day, our steel locations help supply the materials used to build homes, schools, bridges, manufacturing facilities, farms, and community projects across the Northwest. At the same time, our recycling locations help recover valuable materials that can be processed and transformed into new products, reducing waste and conserving natural resources.

In fact, steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world and can be recycled again and again without losing its strength or quality.

From recycling yesterday's steel to supplying tomorrow's projects, Pacific plays a role in both sides of the steel lifecycle.
