CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MONTE CARLO CREW!

What an incredible day off the Washington Coast! A huge congratulations to the crew of the Monte Carlo on catching Ilwaco’s second striped marlin!

Skipper Steve Solstrom and deckhand Kylee Arzner and client were in for an unforgettable team battle. The crew had to chase the fish a couple of times, and just when they thought they had seen it all, the marlin put on an absolutely spectacular show—tail-walking across the surface multiple times! 🐟🔥

The fish was finally brought to the boat after an exciting fight, caught on a purple Cedar plug.

What an amazing catch and an incredible moment for everyone involved. Congratulations again to Steve, Kylie, and the entire Monte Carlo crew on a fish—and a memory—they won’t soon forget!

That’s the kind of action that makes fishing out of Ilwaco so special! We belong to such an incredible fleet.
