Did you know the front door of a house (or business) is referred to as the “mouth of chi?” It is the gateway between your private space and the outside world.

The nourishment in the form of chi (energy) enters through the front door, so the stronger, healthier and more balanced the front entry is, the better chi is able to nourish the occupants. Keeping the entrance to your home clean, clear and welcoming can encourage new opportunities to find their way. It sets the tone for the energy of the entire home and dictates the quality of life energy – chi which is entering the household every single time when the door opens.

This door represents a waiting period for us. From the picking out the desired door, to the delivery and installation took a longer period of time than I would have liked. Good things come to those that are patient.

I decided to give this wall some movement. It wasn’t the easiest design project I have done as the stairs were a challenge as well as the positioning of the shelves and the wall was not cooperating with the hardware needed to secure them. However, I am pleased with the final result.

This was a piece I brought home from Munich, Germany. It was a hard decision to finish over the bright colors. However. I wanted to keep the piece and it was necessary to make a change to fit within my monochromatic mountain chic design style. With that, I used an Annie Sloan Coco chalk paint with a clear and dark brown wax to create the finish I was wanting to accomplish. Very happy with the results.😍
