“I received a letter from a bill collector for a $1,000+ hospital bill for a surgery that occurred 10 years ago, for which I sued another hospital.

All of my medical providers got paid out of that lawsuit but this one showed up out of nowhere (they are going through bankruptcy, hint, hint). I called the lawyer who represented me on the lawsuit (before I had LegalShield) to ask if there is a statute of limitations that applied, and his advice was to ‘just pay the bill.’ I told him that if I have to pay the bill he should pay 1/3 of it since that's how much he got from the lawsuit.

Because I now have LegalShield, I called my Provider Firm. They asked how long ago it was and sent a letter to the bill collector stating the statute of limitations had passed. I didn't hear anything else from the bill collector so I called them to check on the status and they said they have a letter on file from my lawyer and I will not be contacted by them anymore… case is CLOSED!

Hackers obtained data like customer names, contact information, date of birth, gender and driver's license numbers. A "more limited number" of Social Security numbers and passport numbers were also hacked during the attack, Hornbuckle wrote.

Regulatory filings and a letter from MGM Resorts CEO William Hornbuckle Wednesday claim a recent cyberattack entailed both a leak of customer data as well as a hefty financial hit to the company.

Q: What do you do?
A: Do you know how people try to avoid calling attorneys because it’s too expensive at $300 an hour? But they really could use some legal help. What I do is give people access through a membership to top law firms for less than $30 a month. Think about it, for about the price of one hour of an attorney’s time, you could be using attorneys all year long! Ever wanted to set up an LLC or get your Will done, or need to fight a traffic ticket? Just a few examples.

“Was having my basement waterproofed and the company I hired had to break up the concrete. They struck and broke the water main cap. They called a plumbing company out who repaired the cap but then the City Inspector said the lead pipe going to the street had to be replaced as well. The waterproofing company said I’d have to pay for cap repair and replacing the pipe to street, which I didn’t think was fair at all since they caused the damage. I called LegalShield. "I tried to trade in my car, but the dealership only wanted to give me $2,000 when I thought it should have been worth at least $9,000 ...then, the dealership told me my car had frame damage! I told them that was impossible, because I was never in an accident the entire time I owned the car, and I bought it with a clean CarFax. Or so I thought. Apparently, the original place I bought it from knew it was in an accident, but never disclosed it to me!! So, I called my Legalshield Provider Firm and the attorney who called me back listened to my situation then decided to write a demand letter on my behalf to that original dealership stating the laws and my legal rights.
