Manufacturing company based in Solon is currently seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join their team!
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Routine and preventive maintenance on extruders and other related equipment.
Installation and repair of equipment.
Building maintenance.
Fabrication of equipment and functional parts.
Tool room up keep and parts inventory.
Routine maintenance on granulators.
Routine maintenance on tow motors.
Assemble/install and or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
Skills and Requirements
5+ years’ experience
Know and understand basic safety and power tools
Mathematical aptitude
Electrical aptitude including wiring systems, pumps, motors and knowledge of 110v, 240v, 480v, single and three phase and basic PLC’s
Knowledge base in building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing and equipment maintenance including pneumatics and hydraulics.
Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs
Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes
Able to fabricate metal equipment and functional parts
Ability to use oxy-acetate torches and welding units including Arc and Mig welders
Ability to read and understand micrometers, tape measures, calipers and other measuring instruments
Able to multi-task and self-organize
Must have reliable transportation
Able to communicate and coordinate with others
Able to install, service and rebuild pumps including fluid, vacuum and hydraulic pumps
Able to install, service and rebuild gear boxes, sprockets, bearings, gears and other energy transferring equipment.
Follow written safety procedures
Previous extrusion experience and knowledge of plastic sheet extrusion process a plus.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 150 pounds with help. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Requires special safety precautions such as working around moving parts, machines or with irritant chemicals. Employees are required to use protective clothing or gear. This position requires moderate physical exertion.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5pm with one hour for lunch. Occasional overtime may be needed.
Education Requirements
High school diploma/GED minimum
Fork lift Certification a plus
Basic computer skills a plus
Any certification pertaining to electrical building and machinery maintenance is a plus

Manufacturing company in Solon is currently seeking CNC Lathe Machinists to join their growing team!

Summary:

Works with minimal supervision to efficiently set up and operate 4-axis CNC Horizontal Machining Centers.
Works to close tolerances machining parts of moderate to high difficulty and weighing up to several thousand pounds.
Uses part drawings, routers, setup drawings and instructions for guidance in setting up the fixture elements and installing pre-set tooling.
Uses overhead cranes and appropriate equipment and techniques to load parts.
Establishes part alignment, datums and workpiece offsets. Loads and runs provided CNC program. Monitors the machining processes (face milling, slot milling, side milling, boring, drilling, tapping, and reaming) and checks dimensions with precision gages.
Makes tooling adjustments as required to meet customer part specifications.
Works with programmers and other production personnel to refine the CNC program and other supplied information.
Uses time during machining cycle to perform other duties such as operating other equipment, deburring parts, and preparing for the next setup.
Common Duties

Applies Lean principles, Quality Policy and Quality System, and Safety Procedures.
Maintains orderliness, cleanliness, security and functionality of work area and equipment used.
Can navigate computerized manufacturing system to find all data needed and to report labor and production information.
Responsible for participation in ADP program, including goals establishment and skills development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

Reads process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine machining to be done, dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, and set up and operating requirements.
Installs preset tooling in spindle or automatic tool change magazine per instructions.
Can identify and use tooling such as face milling, slot milling, side milling, boring, drilling, tapping, and reaming operations.
Uses setup information to mount, position and align work-holding fixtures and devices on machine table.
Uses overhead cranes in lifting or flipping items weighing up to several thousand pounds. Mounts workpiece in fixture or on table per setup instructions.
Establishes part alignment, datums and workpiece offsets using devices such as a probe, edge finder, center finder or dial indicator.
Checks workpiece to ensure sufficient stock and ensure correct positioning to perform required operations.
Selects, sets and verifies measuring gages used to check product dimensions.
Has machining and programming knowledge sufficient to optimize the machining process.
Can prove out and troubleshoot new CNC programs.
Adjusts the machine controls or program as required. Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
Leaves sufficient stock for following operations.
Can use a tool dispenser machine.
Can correctly input and adjust tool offsets to achieve and maintain part tolerances.
Monitors tool cutting performance and wear, replacing cutting tools such as inserts, drills, taps, etc. to maximize production and minimize tooling costs.
Makes use of time during cutting cycles to do additional tasks such as setting up and operating another machine, preparing for the next job or deburring parts.
Performs basic maintenance on machine per instructions.
Troubleshoots problems. Confers with supervisor, engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others as needed to resolve problems and make improvements.
Reports non-conformances.
Labels finished parts for movement to next operation.
Potential Duties
Prioritizes workload and assigns tasks within the milling department.
