Did you know that one stairlift isn't always the best answer? 🤔

Sometimes, a home has two separate straight staircases instead of one continuous staircase. If someone can safely stand up and transfer from one chair to another, installing two straight stairlifts can actually be a smarter solution than installing one custom curved stairlift.

✅ Often significantly more affordable
✅ Faster installation
✅ Reliable, straightforward design
✅ Provides safe access between all levels of the home

Every home—and every person—is different. That's why we take the time to evaluate your layout, mobility needs, and budget before recommending a solution.

In the home pictured below, two straight stairlifts provided safe access to every level while helping the homeowner avoid the higher cost of a custom curved rail.

If you or a loved one are wondering what option makes the most sense, we're happy to provide a free in-home assessment.

📞 Contact Mobility Access Options NW today to learn more!

*Not every client is a candidate for this setup. It works best for individuals who can safely transfer between stairlift seats. We'll help determine the safest option for your needs.

🎇 Heading out to celebrate the Fourth of July?

A little planning can help make the day more enjoyable for everyone!

Here are a few simple tips to help you stay safe and comfortable while enjoying parades, BBQs, festivals, and fireworks:

💧 Stay hydrated, especially during the afternoon heat.
🪑 Bring a folding chair if standing for long periods is difficult.
🔋 If you use a mobility scooter or power wheelchair, make sure it's fully charged before you leave home.
💊 Pack any medications you may need while you're away.
👂 Consider hearing protection if loud fireworks are uncomfortable.
🚗 Arrive early to find accessible parking and seating before crowds arrive.

We hope you have a wonderful Independence Day filled with family, friends, and great memories. Stay safe, have fun, and enjoy the celebration!

⚾💙 Today is Lou Gehrig Day ⚾💙

On June 2, we honor the life and legacy of Lou Gehrig, the legendary New York Yankees first baseman whose courage in the face of ALS helped bring awareness to a disease that now bears his name.

ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), often called Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a progressive neurological disease that affects nerve cells responsible for voluntary muscle movement. While much has been learned since Lou Gehrig's diagnosis in 1939, there is still no cure.

Today, we recognize the strength and resilience of those living with ALS, the dedication of caregivers, and the researchers and advocates working toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

At Mobility Access Options NW, we are honored to play a small role in helping individuals affected by ALS maintain independence, comfort, and quality of life through mobility and accessibility solutions.

💙 Join us in raising awareness and supporting the ALS community.
