I had so many wonderful conversations with folks this week about the new organization I am working for. As I was leaving one of those meetings, I bumped into Luke, it was great to see you since our paths don’t cross anymore over in KCK. And Paul… so was nice to meet you! I did say “I want a selfie you guys, but I’m not dancing with you.” Keep spreading fun and joy you two! Xo

Early this morning I went out to the garden. I keep saying this is the last of the flowers and yet they keep blooming. So I made a sweet arrangement of lavender, sage, celosia, asters, cherry penstemon, garlic chive seedpods, and safflower. It's next to all the technology of my home office - a counterbalance to all that seems so disembodied about my daily life.

Nature has always been my favorite interior designer. . . stones, twigs, leaves, walnut, acorns, empty nests, animal bones, feathers.

I added a few stones and a card from a deck of Eckhart Tolle quotes:

"Look at a tree, a flower, a plant. Let your awareness rest upon it. How still it is, how deeply rooted in Being. Allow nature to teach you stillness."

Perhaps this is why I am always bringing the outside inside...reminders of what its like to live in Being.

A morning soak with my Ivy League mug. So grateful for you helping me downsize over 1,800 square feet so now on a Saturday morning I can soak in my hot tub as opposed to cleaning three bathrooms when I only need one. Love these women and all the resources they pull together to help you live YOUR best life.

Feeling so stressed and full of anxiety today. Can’t pinpoint why but I walked into and had such appreciation for whoever chose the flower palette this week. It all looks so intentional and soothing. Thanks all who make this lovely place hum.

I’m slowly scanning family photos. I love this one of my mom from the summer of 1967. I was born about 16 months later. And then 20 years after that I would live in London for six months on Bonnington Square. I used to run along the Thames every day where this photos of hers was taken. The layers and connections amaze me. .

So I skipped the parents meeting and headed out to the after leaving KState and dropping Max off. I needed that huge sky, every present wind and cows munching lots of grass...to reground me. I’m a prairie girl. @ Riley County, Kansas
