June is when I start getting a lot more mosquito calls around the Greater Charlotte metropolitan area.
Most homeowners first notice it when they try to spend time outside in the evening and end up getting bitten within a few minutes.
What many people don’t realize is that mosquitoes usually build up because of small areas of standing water around the property. It doesn’t take much.
Clogged gutters, flower pots, low spots in the yard, or even water collecting in toys and containers can all become breeding areas.
Once mosquito activity starts building up around a home, it usually gets worse pretty quickly during the hotter months.
If your backyard suddenly feels uncomfortable to use, it’s usually worth checking things early before the population grows even more.
Take a look at one of my recent mosquito jobs and how it worked out.
