Here, I list work at home customer service opportunities, some as an employee offering benefits with full time hours, others as an independent contractor, having additional flexibility with scheduling! Links will direct you to the company's page with specific information about that position. Although all positions are work at home, I’ll note if a specific territory, state, region, etc is required.

I worked for a few, so I have a pretty good idea on some of the common companies, procedures, techniques and other related info. The company itself will provide specific instructions from the point you submit an application. The ones I post vary from the call type, mostly inbound, but some may be outbound. Customer service opportunities may require reservation services, technical support, Order processing and others. A variety of skills are required and background checks are requested. There are assessments that match your skills and abilities with the company’s expectations. After acceptance of an opportunity, there's usually an extensive training period, which requires you, the work at home agent, to have the prescribed computer specifications, land line telephone and headset. Usually specific software is permitted or prohibited, to optimize your connection. Cable or DSL connections only, no wireless, if so, it’ll be a rare occasion. It's extremely important to be familiar with the technical aspects of your computer’s hardware and software. It will be primarily, your responsibility to maintain basic specifications and perform basic procedures. There are some jobs that will provide their own equipment to you. At times, there is a help desk that can direct you or even remotely connect to correct some parameters. You should organize a home office, where ever it is located in the home, just so it's quiet, free from interruptions. However you accomplish the next task, be sure it too is organized – note taking. You will receive a large volume of new information in a period of time and will be required to absorb, assimilate, utilize, categorize, store for easy access to disseminate to for exams and to customers in a variety of situations to a variety of customer types! These are just a few tips to provide insight into these work at home positions.
