Just a little activity to help your loved one practice their braille and keep their mind sharp as a tack!

Braille out riddles for them to solve, make the answers about some place or thing that they frequent or use a lot. If they solve the riddles give them. Piece of candy as a treat!

Then on St. Patrick’s day lead them on a scavenger hunt to find their own pot of gold! This can be a bag or two of their favorite candy.

Bonus points if you can use them to spell out messages in braille for them

Example: JKiss me I’m Irish!

Another could be: happy st pattys day!

We know this is a bit late, but as they say, better late than never. So here’s an awesome idea for those of you with a penchant for making chocolate treats!

Get yourself a mold for half spheres and fill each one with tempered chocolate, pour out the extra, then fill each one with you blind / visually impaired loved one’s favorite flavor, then cap them off eith a thin layer of chocolate. Put them in the freezer to set!

Then make a mat of chocolate, and with a bit of compressed air to cool everything down make a secret message for them in braille!

It could be something as simple as I love you! Or an I with a heart done in those chocolates and a U! When you present it to them. You can say something like this is just a message between us!

Have them read it and get a photo or video of their reaction! Post it here and at the end of the month we will feature between 1-3 reactions on our page! Now how cool is this for a special Valentine’s Day gift!?f
