Today we’re featuring Patrick Turner, one of our lifeguards in the Central District!

Patrick is heading into his second year with Indy Water Watchers, and fun fact he’s the third member of his family to work with us! We love seeing families be a part of what we do.

This will be my second year with Indy Water Watchers

💧 What made you want to become a lifeguard?
It’s good to be out in the sun and around others constantly + you’re by a pool all day long

💧 What’s your favorite part about working at the pool?
Being out in the sun and around people all day

💧 What do you like to do in your free time?
Watch movies

💧 Favorite movie or TV show?
Interstellar and Supernatural

💧 What’s your go-to music or artist right now?
Sombr and Dominic Fike

💧 Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully graduated and working in the health industry

40 DAY COUNTDOWN TO POOL SEASON 🚨

We’re officially 40 days away from opening pools across Indianapolis and we couldn’t be more excited! 🌊☀️

To kick things off, we’re starting a 40-day staff countdown, where each day we’ll introduce you to one of the amazing team members who help make Indy Water Watchers what it is.

From lifeguards, to managers, and our operations team, these are the people working hard behind the scenes (and on the stands) to keep your pools safe, clean, and running smoothly all summer long.

First up: Nate Turner 👇

Nate is heading into his 5th season with Indy Water Watchers and will be taking on several key roles this summer. He’ll be managing his own facility as a Pool Manager, starting his first year as a Pool Technician (pictured with his new truck 👀), and serving as one of our Weekend Operations Supervisors.

We’re incredibly excited to have Nate back. He’s already been hard at work and is ready for a great season!

💧 What made you want to become a lifeguard?
I wanted to become a lifeguard to ensure safety and make pools function and look better!

💧 What’s your favorite part about working at the pool?
My favorite part is all the positive relations I get to make with my peers and the members.

💧 What do you like to do in your free time?
I hustle too hard to have freetime.

💧 Favorite movie or TV show?
Dark
