A few more photos of the Boston Crusaders at the Summer Music Games in Mason Ohio. Boston would go on to earn the gold medal (first place overall), with the Zingali award for best colorguard, the Ott award for best brass, and the Sanford award for best percussion (including a maximum 20/20 percussion performance on finals night). They did it all with a show that engaged the audience and showcased the performers. Although the show theme involved technology and innovation, the performance was about individual and ensemble perfection - NOT the technology. I LOVE it when it is all in the hands of the performers!

While I'm calling out individual photos, here's one you don't want to miss. This is Boston Crusaders' Hyde Park Bass during a sectional rehearsal at the University of Cincinnati. With a son who marched snare with both BAC and the Cadets, this shot give me some definite Holy Bass vibes.
