Market Street Group was glad to once again join the team from Visit Indy in Washington DC last week for the annual US Travel Destination Capitol Hill Advocacy Day. With so many big events happening domestically this year with the FIFA World Cup to America’s 250th Anniversary, it was beyond timely to have key conversations with members of Indiana’s delegation about the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.

Congrats to New Hope on their major announcement yesterday with the campaign in coordination with the United Way of Central Indiana. The impact of this campaign will be felt by so many individuals and families in Central Indiana for years to comes

Today is the day! New Hope of Indiana proudly launched the public phase of our Capital Campaign at 11 a.m. here at 8450 Payne Rd. With $3.35 million already secured—including the full $1.5 million United Way match—we’re racing to raise the final $650,000 to create a Multi-Purpose Room, Commercial Kitchen for job training, expanded Outdoor Spaces, and more.

As CEO Allison Wharry said, this is about ‘creating spaces that support dignity, independence, and a strong sense of belonging.’ Come celebrate with us or join from afar!

Last week, Visit Indy worked in partnership with the US Travel Association to host a community discussion about the future of the travel and tourism industry. The group was fortunate to include Congressman Andre Carson, along with members of Indiana’s General Assembly and the Indianapolis City-County Council. We are fortunate to live in a city and state where strong collaborations and partnerships across many different levels continue to position the industry for future success.

Yesterday, Butler University announced their new campaign ‘Boldly Butler’ which outlined new strategic initiatives along with a $325 million campaign that will position Butler well into the future as not only one of the best Higher Education institutions in Indiana but across the nation.
