Every year, farmers around the world lose about 40% of the things they grow to pests – and that's with the full power of safe, modern pesticides on the case. Imagine the losses if farmers had to farm with NO crop protection. We'll say it again – hundreds of scientists and up to 100 public health agencies around the world say pesticides are safe, effective tools for farmers. Farmers know they are also absolutely essential.

The fact is, the global population is growing, while land available for farming is not. We need to find a way to feed nearly two billion more people in the next 25 years —sustainably. Thankfully, there's an answer — technology. From gene editing to hybrid wheat, technology will unlock the power of farming to keep our food supply abundant, safe, nutritious and affordable. And that's something to celebrate.

In fact, 90% of our sites have a biodiversity action plan and 88 pollinator gardens, a favorite of bees.

However, pearl millet rapidly becomes rancid following harvest and milling. To help solve this challenge, Corteva is collaborating to develop a gene edited variety of pearl millet which will have a significantly longer shelf life. This , we're highlighting the work we've done with our partners to increase grain production & help smallholder farmers feed the world. 💪 Learn more: https://bit.ly/3ibl1HO
