I'm a bit obsessed about trust. The term comes up frequently when people talk about dissatisfaction with an individual or an entity, but it's a tricky catch-all, I believe. What does she mean when she says she doesn't trust her boss? What does her boss do that contributes to that? Why are so many employees sharing that they have low trust in the company?
All too often, trust seems to be one of those nebulous "I'll know it when I see it" sorts of things, which can be maddening. If we can't get to specifics about the breaches of trust, how can we rebuild it? Maintain it? So, I love models that deconstruct trust into more discrete elements that are relatable and actionable. This is one of the best pieces I've seen about trust at the organizational level.
