Big news!

For most of my career, I’ve worked in accounting, finance, and business operations.

Over time, I realized the part of every role I enjoyed most wasn’t the spreadsheets, it was the people.

I enjoy building relationships, helping business owners solve problems, creating systems that make life easier, and connecting people with solutions that help them succeed.

That’s why I’m excited to share that I’ve accepted a position as a Career Agent with Globe Life Liberty National Whittingham Agencies.

In this role, I’ll be helping businesses, employees, and individuals strengthen their financial protection while continuing to grow my skills in business development, networking, and relationship management.

At the same time, Hoover Consulting is evolving beyond just bookkeeping and into a business focused on operations support, client relationship management, and business growth support for small business owners.

This next chapter brings together everything I enjoy most: helping people, building relationships, supporting businesses, and creating opportunities for growth.

I’m grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads.

One of the most financially dangerous things happening in America right now?

People look fine.

The family posting vacation pictures is drowning in credit card debt.
The business owner making six figures can’t breathe between payroll cycles.
The person everyone thinks is “good with money” hasn’t looked at their bank account in days because they’re scared of what they’ll see.

That’s the terrifying part of modern financial stress:

It’s invisible.

Most people aren’t broke in obvious ways anymore.
They’re broke quietly.

Quietly moving balances around.
Quietly making minimum payments.
Quietly putting groceries on credit cards.
Quietly normalizing financial anxiety because “everyone’s struggling right now.”

It erodes slowly through disorganization, avoidance, stress spending, debt normalization, and financial survival mode.

And rebuilding it happens the same way:

I thought I had to have everything figured out before starting my business.

Turns out… that was completely wrong.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been building Hoover Consulting LLC, signing clients, and diving into real QuickBooks cleanup projects.

And here’s the truth most people don’t talk about when they start a business:

You don’t start when you feel ready.
You start when you’re willing to figure things out in real time.

Something I’ve already noticed working with business owners:

Most financial problems aren’t actually revenue problems.

They’re clarity problems.

I’ve seen businesses where:

• The P&L looks profitable but cash is disappearing
• Expenses are categorized randomly
• Accounts haven’t been reconciled in months
• Owners are making decisions based on numbers that aren’t even accurate

Once the books get cleaned up and the data is reliable, something interesting happens.

The business owner finally sees:

• where the money is going
• what’s actually profitable
• what decisions will grow the business

Good bookkeeping doesn’t just keep you compliant.

It gives you control.

Building this consulting business has been equal parts exciting, terrifying, and incredibly rewarding so far.

But one thing is already clear:

A lot of small businesses don’t need more hustle.

They need better financial visibility.
