50 curated small business owners. Free breakfast. Sip & Sonder coffee all morning. Real conversations about procurement, growth, and what it takes to compete in this city. A community panel. 1:1 consultations with Square account managers. And then — the afternoon opened up, the DJ took over, and Market Street came alive.

Beyond the Game. Built for Business. was everything we hoped it would be — and then some.

See You in the Neighborhood. ☕🖤

On the day of the last soccer match in LA, Square wanted to show up for the city in a meaningful way. Not at the stadium. On Market Street. In the neighborhood. For the small businesses that make this city what it is.

They came to us to make it happen — and we had three weeks to pull it off.

Window decals. A custom built bar for Sip & Sonder A full menu design. “See You in the Neighborhood” covering the walls. Every detail intentional. Every inch of that space telling a story.

We hand selected 50 small businesses from 120 RSVPs for a morning workshop built around real education, real tools, and real conversations. Lunch was served by Bruce Abel — a Square seller right here in the community. The information was good. The conversations were better.

Shoutout to the team that made this happen in three weeks. You already know who you are. 🖤

Some of you may know we’ve been partnering with Square for almost 8 years — bringing workshops, events, and education to small business owners across the country. We’ve been a creative and event partner, producing activations in different cities, working with small businesses everywhere. And now we’re back home in Inglewood.

On July 10th — the day of the last soccer game in LA — Square is hosting a free day of programming right here on Market Street. Two ways to be part of it.

La Create Space was brought in to design a cohesive holiday marketplace experience across Block’s portfolio — , , , and Porto- translating the umbrella of tools for small businesses into one unified, experiential environment.

Through rustic communal design, subtle holiday layering, and thoughtful experiential moments, we created a market that felt warm, elevated, and seller-first — from branded gift wrapping and custom holiday details to a cohesive visual system that tied every vertical together.

The result: a design-forward marketplace that celebrated entrepreneurs while reinforcing Block’s ongoing commitment to economic empowerment.

Inspired by a European-style communal market, the space brought together , , , , , and Porto through a unified brand system — anchored in iconic black and white, accented with Cash App green — showcasing the full ecosystem of tools supporting small businesses.

A few months back, our team had the honor of supporting the City of Los Angeles and Karen Bass Office at the LA Sports & Entertainment Supplier Diversity Summit — an event dedicated to preparing local businesses for the global opportunities coming with LA28.

Our partners at showed up in a major way, and we were proud to design an activation inspired by their “See You in the Neighborhood” campaign — a creative, community-centered experience that celebrated LA’s small business owners.

From custom wheatpasting to a full coffee shop–style booth, our goal was simple:
Create a space where connection, creativity, and commerce come together.

A huge shoutout to our incredible La Create Space team for pivoting, designing, producing, and installing this in record time. Every detail — every wall, every icon, every moment — was a reflection of teamwork and excellence.
