SCALE STRUCTURES LTD
SS LTD was born in 1968 to the credit of John Coots, who developed a line of 1st rate building structures along with cast white metal super detailing parts in Los Angeles Calif. The buildings were first planned to be limited in quantities, but decisions were made to continue many of
them due to the success and demand of them! Wm K Walthers Inc took control of the line in the mid 1970’s and maintained the line until selling to JAKS Industries Inc of Kansas City in the mid 1990’s. Alloy Forms was developed in California in the early 1980’s, and developed a fine series of white metal car kits along with other small detail parts & white metal kits. JAKS Industries merged the HO scale line of Lee Town large trucks into the HO Alloy Forms line in the late 1990’s. In 2009, the HO scale divisions of SS LTD & Alloy Forms were sold to Ad Infinitum LLC of Kansas. Currently, the lines are being refined, with white metal having been replaced by pewter, older instructions/details to kits being revised, and new items being added steadily. Now that we have celebrated our 50 year mark (in 2018) for SS LTD in the modeling world, we look forward to many more years of manufacturing both the classic kits we are known for, as well as new kits and details for both SS LTD & Alloy Forms!
