New specialty menu alert at Airy Acres!

As many of you may know, in addition to our regular tastings we offer several specialty pours, including our Blanc de Blanc (a traditional method sparkling Chardonnay), our Airport 6NY3 (a fortified dessert wine), and two library wines. This is a great opportunity to try some older wines from our cellar that aren’t normally available to taste.

We have officially released the new library wine selections for harvest season: the 2023 Rkatsiteli and the 2022 Osprey! The next time you stop in at the vineyard, join us for a trip down memory lane with us and try one of these special older vintages.

There’s a whisper of fall in the air at Airy Acres!

Days are getting shorter, our luxurious summer warmth is giving way to some cooler and cloudier weather, and best of all, we’re starting to see veraison in the vineyard. This stage of the growing process, when grapes begin to change color, signals that the fruit is ripening and sugar levels are increasing. This makes the grapes more attractive to birds, deer, and other wildlife, so if you visit the tasting room you may notice our laser lights dancing over the vineyard to deter the birds. Our harvest season is just around the corner!

Results are in for this year’s New York Wine Classic, and we at Airy Acres could not be more proud!

All seven of the wines we submitted to the competition received medals, with six out of the seven earning gold. Our 2024 Saperavi was our highest performer with a score of 95 points. (Although Saperavi did not have its own judging category, ours was the highest-scored Saperavi in the competition!) Our full list of results:

2024 Saperavi: 95 points (gold)
2024 Aviator’s Red: 94 points (gold)
2025 Saperavi Rosé: 93 points (gold)
2022 Cabernet Franc: 93 points (gold)
2025 Rkatsiteli: 90 points (gold)
2023 Osprey: 90 points (gold)
2025 Barrel-Fermented Chardonnay: 83 points (bronze)

If you haven’t tasted any of these award-winning wines, we invite you to come on out and see what the fuss is all about. Cheers to our great results this year, and an extra toast to our friends and colleagues throughout the Finger Lakes for their successes as well!

Introducing two new reds in our line-up: 2024 Aviator’s Red and 2023 Osprey!

Some of you may remember that the first version of our Osprey blend from 2021 was a lighter Cabernet Franc/Lemberger blend, but the 2022 version became substantially heavier with the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon. People loved both versions even though they were very different wines, so we decided to keep making a lighter blend and a heavier blend–but we also knew we couldn’t keep calling both of them Osprey!

Enter the Aviator’s Red. Named after Grandpa Myron, the family aviator, this 2024 red blend is a lighter, easy-drinking blend of Cabernet Franc and Lemberger. We are excited to release this on our tasting menu, alongside the new 2023 Osprey blend (a heavier red blend combining Cabernet Franc, Lemberger, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Saperavi).

Come on by the tasting room and compare them for yourself!

A new wine rating is in!

We are excited for the great score and nice words from Christina at Wine Enthusiast.

“Intriguing guava, green apple, pineapple rind and waxy, herbal characters open this white wine, made from the Georgian Rkatsiteli grape variety. There's a lovely juxtaposition of racy acidity against a slippery texture, and a core of spiced orchard fruit throughout. It's mouth-filling enough to hold up to a cheese platter or buttery pasta but refreshing enough to be sipped solo.”

If you haven't tried it before or you need a refresh, make sure to stop by the tasting room for this refreshing wine!

We partied up a storm this weekend!

Despite thunder, lightning, and so much rain we thought Noah was going to have to build an ark just to get people to their cars, our wine club party was a smashing success. We had a great time sharing wine and snacks with everyone, and we were excited to show off our new “wine cave” building! Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to join in the fun. A special shout out to our wine club member Aly Evans, who pitched in and helped us pour tastings. We’re already looking forward to seeing you all again at the January pickup party.

While the wine club party was raging out in the wine cave (or was that the storm?), the tasting room was also hopping! Thank you to everyone who came out to try wine, hear the fabulous Rachel Beverly, and enjoy snacks from Graze & Gather. If you need more awesome music at the tasting room, Jeremiah Craig will be back this Saturday from 2:30-5:30.

We are delighted to share that Airy Acres Vineyard received the 2026 Small Business Award in the Wine & Craft Beverage category from the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce!
This is a huge honor for us, and we are grateful to all of you reading this for your love and support. We are eleven years old as a vineyard, but only three years old as a tasting room (and two as a tasting room with indoor plumbing and climate control!).
We have come so far in just a few years, and we can’t wait to see what else the future has in store for us. Check out Discover Seneca for more information about what other small businesses are accomplishing in Seneca County!
