Batteries are NOT eligible for home recycling. Batteries can now go to local, special, drop offs. These points of collection help protect the environment from hazardous materials going into the landfill and additional mining of the Earth’s resources.

June is PTSD Awareness Month, a time to recognize the invisible challenges many first responders face while serving their communities.

Firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and other emergency responders are regularly exposed to traumatic events that can have lasting impacts on mental health. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. By supporting one another, reducing stigma, and encouraging open conversations, we can help ensure those who protect our communities receive the care and support they deserve.

Motorcyclists:
Wear a DOT-approved helmet and protective gear
Obey speed limits and traffic laws
Stay visible and ride defensively

Drivers:
Look twice before changing lanes or turning
Give motorcycles plenty of space
Stay alert and avoid distractions behind the wheel
