Heavenly Father,

I ask that you lift every family that is hurting, broken, or walking through a heavy season of sorrow, I ask you to bring comfort where there is grief, peace where there is anxiety, and healing to deep emotional wounds, Where there is conflict, anger, or misunderstanding, replace it with patience, forgiveness, and love, Give them strength, remind them that they are not alone, and surround them with love and support.

The blue helmet representing our firefighter of the month
This helmet does not represent a single act of bravery, it does not represent a firefighter as being the best. This helmet represents a firefighter who’s gone out of there way, whether it’s to help in the public or to accomplish tasks done at the station or doing a good deed. They went above and beyond just the call to duty.
For the Month of September we recognize Firefighter Justin Luna, firefighter Luna is a senior member on the dept and has shown tremendous leadership and honor around the department and on calls, he has also shown what the station means to him by making sure trucks and the house are taken care of and leading our newer members on calls. Shown above is August firefighter of the month J. Ajanel passing the torch (helmet) forward.

Thank you men for your continuous leadership and willingness to go above and beyond just the call of duty.

The Iraan fire department was given the honors of being able to feed the Varsity football team, Trainers, coaches and cheer leaders yesterday before there big game. We had steaks and loaded potatoes cooked by Chief, delicious Banana pudding made by Firefighter Barrera, and delicious fruit salad made by Admin Vicky Zapata. Blessings and prayers given by Firefighter Zapata and Admin Zapata. Preparation and serving done by FD members. We hope yall enjoyed it! A Huge thank you to Millers Meat Co in Fort Stockton for providing the steaks!!!

Congrats to the braves on there big win last night against hale center!!

HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE LATER THIS WEEK

The threat for very heavy rainfall and significant flash flooding is increasing across west central Texas mainly Tuesday night through Thursday. The combination of the remnants of Hurricane Polo from the Pacific, abundant tropical moisture and a cold front will result in periods of very heavy rainfall which may produce localized significant flash flooding. Looks like the heaviest rainfall will set up mainly east of a Sweetwater to Ozona line with widespread 2 to 3 inches. Isolated totals of around 10 inches are not out of the question by Thursday evening mainly east of a Coleman to Sonora line. Please keep up with the latest weather information including watches and warnings.
