Are there any veterans in town or near Iraan who are apart of a VFW or American legion that would like some Americans flags that need a retirement ceremony? The department can do it but wanted to reach out first.

I would like yall to welcome our 3 newest members

-Jhon Ajanel comes to us with a back ground with Red Cross and has been a huge help in past events and upgrades on the building before joining the department

Kyndrik Tarin comes to us with experience from Crane fire department and also a background in corrections.

Andrew Gallegos you may also know him as number 3 on Friday night lights! We look forward to watching him grow as he completes his senior year of high school.

Iraan and Sheffield fire department were toned out at 05:12 to I-10 MM328 for a single vehicle 10-50 involving 3 occupants, Iraan FD responded with 1 engine and 1 firefighter and Sheffield responded with 2 firefighters and 1 engine. With the great teamwork with Pecos county EMS, Pecos county sheriffs office, crocket county fire & EMS, Texas DPS, Shannon air med and fort Stockton PD and sheriff’s office dispatch all occupants were safely and successfully rescued. All units cleared scene without incident and back in service at 08:06.

Whether you're looking to play for the championship or just for fun, join us for our City of Iraan & Iraan Volunteer Fire Department 75th Anniversary "Because of you" tournament September 19th and possibly the 20th depending on the amount of teams that sign up.

19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who were overrun and killed on June 30, 2013, while battling the Yarnell Hill Fire near Yarnell, Arizona.

We remember them not as a number, but as brothers with names, families, and stories:

These Hotshots met a fast‑moving, wind‑driven fire in unforgiving terrain with courage, skill, and quiet resolve, standing between a wildland urban interface and the people they swore to protect.

Their deaths marked the deadliest wildfire incident for firefighters since Griffith Park in 1933, and the greatest line‑of‑duty loss for U.S. firefighters since 9/11.

Brotherhood of 🔥 carries their memory on every dispatch, every ridge line cut, every anchor point built.

We honor their families, their surviving crew, and all who still walk the line with the weight of June 30, 2013 on their shoulders.

To the Yarnell 19, and to all who loved them: We will Never Forget.

We stand together in gratitude, respect, and most of all in brotherhood.

🚒 A Message from the Iraan Fire Department with Independence Day just around the corner.

As you celebrate Independence Day, please put safety first. Fireworks are prohibited within the Iraan city limits in accordance with code 417-2018. If you choose to celebrate outside the city where fireworks are permitted, always follow safety guidelines, keep water nearby, and never allow children to handle fireworks unsupervised.

Most importantly, don’t drink and drive. Designate a sober driver, call for a ride, or stay where you are if you’ve been drinking. Together, we can keep our families, neighbors, and first responders safe.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Please do not contact fire department officers or members to get permission to shoot fireworks within city limits, we just as y’all must abide to the ordinances set forth by the city and will advise you to shoot fireworks where it has been permitted.
