Josh Eyler is a Registered Piano Technician who has built Eyler Piano around one simple goal: helping people enjoy their pianos for years to come.

🎹🔧 Sometimes, even pianos need a little troubleshooting!

We were recently called out to make an adjustment to a piano that had been placed on a spider dolly with its original casters still attached. A dangerous situation for such a heavy and precious instrument!

The solution? A little careful maneuvering and our trusty “Jack in the Box!” 💪

Josh worked through the process one leg at a time—carefully removing each leg, taking off the caster, and reinstalling the leg to ensure the piano was properly positioned on its spider dolly.

It's not every day that a piano needs this particular adjustment, but we're always happy to put our experience and specialized equipment to work to get the job done right! 🎶

Because when it comes to caring for your piano, the little details make a BIG difference! 🙌

Sometimes the job is just plain FUN. 😄🎹

Josh got this old player piano working and, of course, had to give it a proper test run! There’s something pretty satisfying about bringing an old mechanism back to life… especially when “quality control” involves pumping the pedals and enjoying the music. 😂🎶

Not necessarily!

Over time, strings naturally go out of tune—even if the change happens gradually enough that your ear doesn’t immediately notice.

Regular tuning helps maintain the instrument’s sound and can also help keep the piano’s strings and structure at the proper tension.
