Gogebic Range Solid Waste Management Authority The Gogebic Range Solid Waste Management Authority was incorporated on September 10, 1987.

We are a transfer station that accepts municipal waste, commercial refuse, construction material, and appliances.

Due to the snowstorm, the Transfer Station is closed. No garbage will be picked up. We will resume collection on Thanksgiving, November 27, 2025.

The transfer station will be closed on Monday, January 13th through Wednesday, January 15th to complete the replacement of the facility's compactor. Normal operations should resume on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Garbage collection will NOT change.

Holiday Schedule: All garbage on ALL holidays is scheduled to be picked up as usual. The Transfer Station will be open from 8-4 on Christmas Eve, December 24; and New Year's Eve, December 31. It will be closed on Christmas Day, December 25; and New Year's Day, January 1.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Thursday, Thanksgiving, November 23, and Friday, November 24, 2023. We will reopen on Saturday, November 25 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. There will be no changes to garbage collection. Put it out, we'll be picking it up.
