“I can’t eat this. I’m allergic.”

That’s when the school found out.

Not from a health record.
Not from an alert.
From the child himself.

It may sound like a small detail… until that “small detail” becomes the difference between a normal school day and a dangerous one.

And here’s the question every parent should ask:

What important thing about your child might the school only discover when it’s already happening?

Because when it comes to your child’s health, there are no “small” details.

«أنا مينفعش آكل ده… أنا عندي حساسية.»

دي كانت اللحظة اللي المدرسة عرفت فيها.

مش من السجل الصحي.
مش من تنبيه.
من الطفل نفسه.

ممكن تبان معلومة بسيطة… لحد ما المعلومة البسيطة دي تكون هي الفرق بين يوم دراسي عادي وموقف ممكن يبقى خطر.

وهنا كل ولي أمر لازم يسأل نفسه:

إيه المعلومة المهمة عن ابنك اللي ممكن المدرسة ما تعرفهاش غير وقت ما تحصل المشكلة؟

لأن لما الموضوع يتعلق بصحة ابنك، مفيش حاجة اسمها معلومة بسيطة.

The record exists… but can the school find it when it matters?

A school admin meeting started with a simple question:

“Do we have the students’ health records?”

Suddenly, it was folders. Excel sheets. Paperwork. Searching.
Some records were missing.

Then came the vaccination records.

Nothing.

And this is where every parent should pause.

You trust the school with your child every day.
But if their health information is scattered—or missing—

how prepared can they really be when something happens?

السجل الصحي موجود… بس هل المدرسة تقدر تلاقيه وقت ما تحتاجه؟

اجتماع بسيط لإدارة المدرسة بدأ بسؤال:

«هل عندنا السجلات الصحية للطلبة؟»

وفجأة بدأ البحث…
ملفات، جداول إلكترونية، وأوراق.
وبعض السجلات كانت مفقودة.

وبعدين سألوا عن سجلات التطعيمات…

ملقوهاش.

وهنا لازم كل ولي أمر يقف ويسأل:

إنت بتسيب ابنك في المدرسة كل يوم وإنت مطمّن…

بس لو حصلت حاجة، هل معلوماته الصحية هتكون متاحة في اللحظة اللي المدرسة تحتاجها؟

He was sick at 10 AM. His mom found out at 3 PM.

Five hours.

Five hours during which a parent thought everything was fine… while her child was unwell at school.

He received medication, went back to his day, and his mom only found out when he got home.

Would you want to find out hours later that your child needed help?

Because when your child is at school, it’s not enough for something to be handled.

Parents need to know what happened — when it happened.

لأن لما ابنك يكون في المدرسة، مش كفاية إن المشكلة تتحل.

إنتِ محتاجة تعرفي إيه حصل… وإمتى حصل.

وبعدها بدأت أعراض الحساسية تظهر.

وده اللي يخوف… إن رد الفعل مش لازم يظهر في نفس اللحظة.

فالسؤال اللي كل Parent لازم يسأله:

هل المدرسة عندها المعلومات الصحية الكافية عن ابنك قبل ما تديله أي دواء؟

لأن لما الموضوع يتعلق بصحة ابنك، معلومة واحدة ناقصة ممكن يكون ليها عواقب خطيرة.

What if the “welcome to school” treat isn’t safe for every child?

On the first day of school, candy and chocolate were handed out to students.

Then they discovered that one of the students had diabetes.

The real question isn’t “Why did they give out candy?”

It’s “Did the school know enough about its students to make that decision safely?”

لأن من غير المعلومات الصحية الصحيحة،
حتى أبسط حاجة ممكن تتحول لخطر حقيقي.

هل المدرسة عارفة إيه اللي لازم تعرفه عنه؟

You shouldn’t have to call the school to find out if your child took their medication.

Because sometimes, the answer you’re expecting… isn’t what actually happened.

A parent called to check if her child received his medication at 12 PM.

He didn’t.

And the scary part? She wouldn’t have known if she hadn’t asked.

How much can happen between school drop-off and pick-up that you only find out about later?

Your child’s health deserves more than “I’ll call and check.”

مش المفروض تفضلي تتصلي بالمدرسة عشان تعرفي ابنك أخد الدوا ولا لأ.

لأن أحيانًا… الإجابة اللي متوقعاها مش هي اللي حصلت فعلًا.

أم اتصلت عشان تتأكد إن ابنها أخد الدوا الساعة 12.

لكن… هو ما أخدوش.

والأصعب؟ إنها ما كانتش هتعرف لو ما سألتش.

كام حاجة ممكن تحصل في يوم ابنك في المدرسة وإنتِ ما تعرفيش عنها إلا بعدين؟

صحة ابنك تستحق أكتر من مجرد: «هتصل وأطمن».
