Always remember U.S. Navy SEAL, SO2 Nathan “Gage” Ingram, who went missing in action on 12 JAN 2024 after heroic efforts to rescue his teammate SO1 Christopher J Chambers. The 2 Navy SEALs and their team were conducting a night-time seizure of a vessel illegally transporting advanced lethal aid from Iran to resupply Houthi rebel forces in Yemen.
Gage was a SOCOM Athlete student in 2018, shortly after SOCOM Athlete was founded. He was one of our first students to successfully graduate Navy SEAL training and earn his trident. Gage was a man of God, and smiles down on us now from heaven. The SOCOM Athlete community will never forget the sacrifice and selflessness displayed by Gage.
In recognition of Gage’s sacrifice, the 89th Texas Legislature designates January 12 as “Nathan Gage Ingram Day” in the state of Texas. The resolution specifies that this designation will remain in effect until the 10th anniversary of its final passage, in accordance with Section 391.004(d) of the Texas Government Code. It serves as a tribute to a courageous Texan whose selfless service embodies the highest ideals of the United States military and the state’s values of honor, duty, and sacrifice.
“Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” -John 15:13
