The number of class offerings by Irvine Unified, IVC, Saddleback College have been drastically reduced, due to budget cuts. Some students are taking classes at private schools.

New and Improved Standard Linear Equation:
How about using: x/a + y/b = 1 instead of Ax + By = C?
‘a’ is the x-intercept, and ‘b’ is the y-intercept.
We are using 2 meaningful parameters, ‘a’ & ‘b’, instead of 3 meaningless ones (A, B, and C). What do you think?
