Rather Bee Quilting is honored to provide a quilt to Robert and Mary Mays, who lost everything in a house fire this past Sunday. The top was donated to our group by Nancy Estes and longarm quilted by Ruth Pasley. Prayers for the May's family as they rebuild their home.

Yesterday was Day 7 of 7 :
I got the sewing room ready for visitors. You would be surprised at what accumulates in a room after 6 days of sewing!
Any way, Teresa and Cynthia came to our monthly mystery block of the month sewing session. The last on before the big reveal. There were 44 blocks to make, Teresa has all of hers made, Cynthia and I each have 10 more cut out ready to sew. I'm excited for the reveal, but I think I like Block of the month projects that are not a mystery.
Teresa andI also worked on mac&in binding a quilt.
We are already planning our next joint quilting project.
Today I'm going to be working on the Southern Bell quilt. I have it about ready to turn on the frame so I can finish the side borders.
Here is a look at the end of this week's sewing. I will post a picture of this beautiful quilt when I finish it.

Day 6 of 7:
Well you all , I plumb forgot to post yesterday!
But I was busy. I got some old traditional patterns drawn out, printed off a pattern I had bought and got 2 rows done on the southern bell quilt. I cut out the pieces to the mystery quilt I'm doing with Teresa and Cynthia, and got ready for them to come sew with me today.I am behind on month 4 of the mystery quilt so I cut that out too.
And about cut my finger tip off!

Day 4 0f 7:
Sometimes I just get lazy! Cleaned a bit in the sewing room and quilted a bit on the southern bell quilt today. Closing it down today, until Monday morning. Any one that don't have a home church , Salem Baptist would welcome you.

Day #3:
Today's schedule comprises hemming a bridesmaid dress for my granddaughter( I only do alterations for family) , shipping a machine part so a fellow quilter can get back to quilting, and binding a scalloped edged quilt . If I have time I'll work on the embroidered southern lady quilt. That's a full day, I'll give a progress report at the end of the day.

Day # 2 0f 7:
Busy day today. I was in Richmond by 9:15(a bit late!) At the public library. We had a bunch there today. We made enough blocks for a lap quilt top. I took 3 quilts and brought back several more to quilt. I got back homw at lunch time, ate and sat down to have a cup of coffee. Dozed off and spilled it in my chair!
I bound the 3rd quilt and quilted a bit on the custom quilt I'm working on. I'm. Calling that a good day!
