Pressure spike after a humid shift? That is a common cartridge filter problem in real plants.
Airflow drops, dust pickup gets weaker, and the pulse cleaning starts losing effect.
In many plants, what looks like a filter failure is often a moisture problem.
Common causes:
- Air near dew point
- Fine dust agglomeration
- Weak pulse cleaning
- Poor sealing or humid air ingress
- No pre-separation on fine dust
The impact is not small. You get higher fan energy, more shutdown time, shorter filter life, and more maintenance work.
This is not just a dirty filter problem.
Check dew point margin and differential pressure trend first. Then verify pulse air pressure and look for moisture paths into the system.
If you are seeing this, let’s compare notes.
