Meet Daeja Duarte, HR/Risk & Compliance Manager.
Daeja is the kind of person who brings both heart and strategy to everything she does. As a self-described "social butterfly," she thrives on the human element of HR while simultaneously protecting the bottom line for ownership groups and investors saving clients over $20K on driver claims and $10K on premium audits, just to name a few wins.
Behind the scenes, Daeja makes life easier for GMs and owners by taking on the complex work — Workers' Comp, General Liability audits, internal investigations — so on-property teams can stay focused on what they do best: running great hotels.
Her growth over the past three years at Mehr has been remarkable, and she'll be the first to tell you that she's just getting started. Guided by mentors Christina Nelson and Manny, Daeja sees her work in risk and compliance not as a job, but as a calling.
And if you ever spot someone "walking the property" on vacation? That might just be Daeja because in hospitality, the passion never clocks out.
