Congratulations to Steven Wood, Production Manager, on 20 Years of Service with Laird Plastics Louisville!

General Manager Michael Ackerman shared, “Steven has been an invaluable member of the Laird Plastics Louisville team for the past 20 years.

Starting as a warehouse employee, Steven has grown into a leadership role overseeing our fabrication and production department. His experience, commitment to quality, and strong work ethic are evident in everything he does. Over the years, his knowledge, dedication, and willingness to lead by example have made him an essential part of our team's success.

We are grateful for his contributions and proud to celebrate this significant milestone with him.”

To commemorate the occasion, Michael gifted Steven a custom Louisville Slugger baseball bat, along with his 20-year service award plaque, in recognition of his dedication and contributions over the years.

We are growing in Baton Rouge! With expanding value-added capabilities and continued investment in customer success, Laird Plastics is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join General Manager Kevin Kramer and his team in Baton Rouge!

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing operation, helping customers find the right performance plastics solutions while supporting new business opportunities and building lasting relationships.

In this role, you will work closely with customers to provide product recommendations, generate quotes, process orders, and identify opportunities for growth. You will also collaborate with our warehouse and outside sales teams to deliver exceptional service as we continue to expand our capabilities and customer reach in the Baton Rouge market.

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the initiative to contribute to a growing team. Experience in sales or industrial distribution is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

Thank you to Sky Chen, Matt Smith, Doug Driscoll, and Xavier Castillo from G2G Lighting for joining Laird Plastics to lead a special edition of our Supplier-Led Product Training series, G2G Academy!

The sessions focused on practical selling strategies, helping our sales teams better understand how to identify customer challenges, communicate product value, and recommend the right solutions. Through real-world applications and common installation scenarios, the G2G team shared insights that our teams can apply directly to customer conversations.

The training highlighted G2G's LumiLink Series, X-Neon, WOW AX, and YDi Flex, demonstrating how these lighting solutions can simplify installation, improve efficiency, and address common fabrication challenges. Each session also wrapped up with a little friendly competition to put everyone's new product knowledge to the test!
