Amcad & Graphics was founded in 1997 by owners Chris Edwards and Todd Morris. The company originally began selling CAD equipment and supplies to architects and engineers. Pen plotters used for printing vector graphics were the first computer printers. These plotters were used in applications such as computer aided design, which is where the name Amcad came from. In 2013 Mike Osman became a partner of Amcad & Graphics with almost 30 years of experience in the digital market which he used to help develop the companies’ private product line, Star Line. Currently, Amcad & Graphics carries a full line of large format printers and supplies including UV flatbed and roll-to-roll (aqueous, solvent, and latex) from the industries top manufacturers. One of the most interesting parts of print production is seeing the same artwork transform across different materials and printing technologies.

Version one was printed on General Formulations 765 Rainbow Holographic Vinyl with the Mimaki UJV330H 160 Hybrid UV Printer creating stunning metallic and shifting light effects.
Version two was produced on Palram Americas PVC using a Mimaki UJF Series UV printer with added raised 2.5D texture you can feel.

Same artwork. Same design.

One of the most interesting parts of print production is seeing how the same artwork transforms when applied to different materials and printing technologies.

The first version was printed on General Formulations 765 Rainbow Holographic Vinyl using the Mimaki USA, Inc. UJV330H-160 Hybrid UV Printer. The holographic media creates metallic reflections and shifting light effects that make the graphic come alive from every angle.

The second version was produced on Palram Americas PVC using a Mimaki UJF Series UV printer, where we added raised 2.5D texture effects to create design elements that can actually be felt.
