This wonderful woman stepped up and took 4 litters of puppies even though she isn't a dog rescue. She found them all homes or rescues! Please consider a donation to her. She is in the south, where spay/neuter is still not a thing so they are overrun with innocent little puppies.

As I was feeling sad at the end of our family vacation, I found this essay in my email inbox. It’s a discussion of a poem I taught for over 20 years, “Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard.” This poem reminds us to use the time we have wisely because the mighty and the meek all have limited time here that flies by, and that being mighty is mostly an accident of birth and circumstance.
