Lila M. Stromer Photography My love of theater, animals, and photography have now come together. Creative artists and animals are my passions.

I've been a theater director and dramaturg for a very long time, and I've loved animals my whole life.

I recently moved to New York City, and living in a new place has excited my creativity. I do miss my container garden, though, and so went to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx to spend some time in nature. This is a fascinating idea, and it's amazing to see how the sisters changed from year to year. I don't know why they stopped doing it. This is the best "family photo album" I've ever seen.

This says a lot about society worldwide and the (perceived) issue of weight. This photographer turns the camera on others while keeping herself in the photo.

For years, strangers have made fun of me for being fat. But I got my power back -- by turning the camera on them
