Boys with Toys!! Fun bat work this month,starting off strong using an 80ft lift.

The NCDA&CS has confirmed the first established presence of the invasive yellow-legged hornet (Vespa velutina) in the state, in Matthews.

Beekeepers are asked to watch for hornets around hives exhibiting “hawking-like behavior.” This behavior is a distinctive characteristic to the yellow-legged hornet as they prey on bees. Their hives are another distinctive feature as they can grow much larger than other hornets nests and have a reddish, muddy color to them compared to gray colored nests of bald-faced hornets for example. Great place to work the last few days in the heat!!
The guys did an amazing job on this crawlspace, who would have thought at one time there was over 3 feet of standing water throughout this crawlspace!

Big difference in yesterday’s pictures from the start to the finished product today. No more Rats, hanging insulation and urine smell. Now just a new dry crawlspace!

Nothing like starting out the week with a Rat Clean out! Pretty bad infestation in the crawlspace. Rats 🐀 jumping on you as we were pulling down the bad insulation!

Crawlspace Clean - Out Day

1. Remove all old damaged insulation, debris in the crawlspace and the old ground liner

2. Treat all wooden components with a Hydroxy agent to remove fungus

Stage 1. Wall liner, Foam Board on the foundation walls.

Next step is the temporary liner and the dehumidifier once the house is framed and roof deck on.
