1863 Ventures is changing the world by empowering New Majority founders for businesses such as Wilbar Services.

Wilbar recently participated in the 3Rs Program and was awarded a grant. The grant funds will help our business to recover from the pandemic. It will be used for marketing, business development and hiring staff. We also look forward to the mentoring and networking opportunities that we now have access to.

Meet Deroll, CEO of Wilbar Services LLC in Jackson, MS.

Wilbar Services is a technology enabled education and training company that works to solve the problem of youth disconnection.

We will partner with WIN Job Centers and organizations in the workforce development ecosystem to recruit 16-24 year old youth and connect them to training opportunities, then help them find high-demand and well paying jobs. Youth who would like to become entrepreneurs will be connected to community resources for business development.

We will develop partnerships with training providers to include Job Corps, Mississippi Coding Academies, DSC Training Academy, Refill Jackson Initiative and institutions of higher education.

Wilbar Services aims to become a government contractor and operate Job Corps centers.

Deroll recently graduated from the amazing Business Fellowship facilitated by Higher Purpose Co. The Business earned a stipend from this fellowship and also secured a 0% interest Kiva Loan. Deroll is using the resources, knowledge and skills gained to build the business.

Deroll is currently participating in a Women and Minority Entrepreneurial Development Program facilitated by Innovate Mississippi
